Long Overdue Squee: Art for Me!

I wanted to post about this ages ago, but between Wankfest mod stuff and getting ready for Aeternitas, I never quite found the time. Now that Wankfest is caught up and Aeternitas is over, I'm making the time, 'cause this is definitely worth some squee!

In the help_japan auction, I was a very lucky winner of art from bluejeanius. Said art was finished and delivered a couple of weeks ago (I did say this post was long overdue...), and it's abjluibgkla fantastic!

I gave her the option of either Snape/Sirius or Snape/Remus and tossed some of my general preferences at her. And THIS is what she came up with. ::flaaaiiilllll::

It's Marauders era Snape/Sirius, slightly not worksafe perhaps. Two weeks later and I'm still giggling over it. It sums up some of the dynamics of this pairing at that age pretty damn well. Poor awkward Severus just doesn't quite know what to do with Sirius at times, but fortunately Sirius seems to know exactly what to do with him. ::snicker::

The poses and expressions are fab, and the contrasts between the characters are wonderfully done. All the little details in this piece are fantastic as well. The best part, though, might be considering the various ways this scene could play out from there. LOL

I won't say anything else to spoil it; just GO LOOK! I bet you'll snicker. ;) Tell the artist how awesome she is, eh?

Aeternitas Wrap-Up

Due to the internet fail at the con hotel, I wasn't able to make nightly reports from Aeternitas. So those of you who want con reports, well, you'll just have to settle for a more general wrap-up. It's probably far less dull like this anyway. ;) Er, never mind. I seem to have remembered more than I thought I would...

( Disco dancing Death Eaters, a Dementor doing a strip tease, and the Dark Lord jamming to Journey. Yep. I do believe I can safely say I've now seen it all. )

They say they'll run another con in the same location in 2013, although word has it that it'll be a little bit later in the season (and therefore warmer and not overlapping with the end of term). I'll totally be there, and I'll organize meet-ups next time. So who's with me? ;D

Wankfest Waving

Now that the weekend is over and people have returned home from Aeternitas and so forth, I figure everyone will be wanting to catch up with hp_wankfest. Right? So I'm going to help you out by telling you everything you need to know in order for you to get yourself up to date.

The pieces posted so far run the gamut from humor to pure smut to things of a darker nature. Something for everyone.

Fic: His Own Worst Enemy (Draco Malfoy in Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom with a Foe Glass) This one is simply fantastic. Hot with a humorous edge and a painful twist, it has it all. The author makes brilliant use of the prop (the Foe Glass) here. A very smart fic.

Art: Forbidden Fruit (Regulus Black in Greenhouse Five with Sirius' Collar) OMG, the details in this! The art is beautiful, Regulus is gorgeous, the subject matter is hot with a bit of a twisted, hurty aspect, and the setting is to die for. I've already seen this one recced in a place or two.

Fic: The Option for More (Charlie Weasley at the Burrow with Dragon Hide Gloves) An all around fun, hot, smutty piece of double wank. Exactly what you'd hope to find in this sort of fest, right?? I'd like to say more, but I don't want to spoil the plot twists!

Fic: With Malice Aforethought (Tom Riddle in the Chamber of Secrets with a Time-Turner) This? Is brilliant. The concept is inventive, the writing is surreal and dark, and Tom Riddle is perfectly sharp and calculating. Don't let the character scare you off; this is an amazing piece.

Fic: The Listener (Argus Filch in the Hogwarts Dungeons with an Extendable Ear) Ahaha, so much love for this. Utterly hilarious and so very Filch. Short and sharp. I won't spoil it, but take my word for it -- no matter how you feel about Filch, you'll get a kick out of this one.

Art: Mirror, Mirror (Lily Luna Potter in a Hogwarts Classroom with the Mirror of Erised) Simply gorgeous. Wonderful perspective, great positioning, hot girl wanking, and lovely details. A beautiful piece that definitely needs more love!
