Apparently Percocet gives me some seriously weird dreams.

Night before last I dreamed that Ari (my dog) made up a song about Pansy (the cat) and then wouldn't stop prancing around the apartment singing it.

It really loses something without the tune, but I can at least supply you with the lyrics:

Cute, cute, cute-the-cute,
Cute, cute, cute-the-cute,
Cute, cute, cute-the-cute,
Pansy is cute!

Mouse, mouse, mouse-the-mouse,
Mouse, mouse, mouse-the-mouse,
Mouse, mouse, mouse-the-mouse,
Pansy likes mouse!

Wash, rinse, repeat ad nauseum...

Yeah, hi, I still have SHINGLES.

There are times when emoticons can sum up one's feelings far better than words can. This is one of those times. And the emoticon is:

D:

Remember the adorable, spirited kitten from this post? I just found out that my roommate is giving her up. Apparently she's decided that the kitten is too much Trouble.

What's even more o_O is the fact that she's apparently getting a different kitten instead. Why she thinks another kitten will work out if the first one didn't is completely beyond me. Kittens are... kittens, dude!

I'm just completely horrified and upset and... well... D:. Ari is losing another kitty friend, one she clearly adores. And for no good reason. It's heartbreaking.

Would any of you who aren't too far away like to adopt a kitten? She's a wonderful little girl, you all. She's extremely sweet and affectionate, but also playful and mischievous, and very smart. And clearly gets along with other animals! Oh, and I believe she's up to date on her vaccinations. She'll be here until at least Monday, and I'm sure I could keep her a little longer while arrangements were being made. So... anyone want to give her a permanent home? I'd love to have her myself (or let Ari keep her, really!), but I just can't right now. :(
