First, I never posted a thank you to the people who sent Ron's boggart goofy spiders to me for Halloween. So thanks, you all! :D

Second, HUGE hugs and thanks to the people who've left such amazing comments for me at hp_love_anon. D'awwww, you're making me all blushy, you guys! ♥ Of course, now I'm deeply curious as to who left some of those comments... Ah well! Guess I'll never know, eh? ;)

I've dropped in several comments there, but definitely plan to go back to leave lots more over the next few days. So keep checking back! The meme still seems to be in full swing. :D

The trip from Philly to twilightsorcery's place in NY was easy and uneventful -- but cold! We would have a huge temperature drop just for the one day that I have to go out in the city in reasonably nice clothes at night. My nose has been running nearly non-stop for thirteen hours and it still hasn't stopped. Ugh.

The other downer of the day was that ragdoll wasn't able to go out with us after all. Boo. (You were missed, ragdoll, and I think you should probably avoid reading the squee down below so you don't kick yourself for not coming. You will still be at dinner tomorrow night, right??)

twilightsorcery called a friend who took the extra ticket at the last minute, so I suppose I at least got an impromptu "date" for the evening. Ha. As if I was paying attention to much of anything once the show started!

Okay, so. The mature, intelligent adult in me desperately wants to tell you about the nifty set design, and the concept for the production itself, and what a phenomenal and diverse actor Geoffrey Rush is. But. BUT. The fangirl in me is clearly the louder, more enthusiastic part, because I still haven't made it beyond the point of flailing wildly and shouting, "Geoffrey Rush! Geoffrey Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuush!!!"

GEOFFREY RUSH! 85% NAKED AND FIVE FEET FROM ME!!! Also, might I just say, that man has the most GLORIOUS schnoz. Seriously, photos do NOT do it justice. And his HANDS... ! Everything fanon says about Snape's hands. TIMES TEN. ::dies dies dies dies::

..I am so ashamed of myself. ::facepalm::

Then, just to top off the evening, I got out of the show and learned that I'd won the H/D LDWS! Wow! I have more to say about that, but it'll have to happen later. For now, it's time to pass out and dream of men with large noses.

And then! OMG OMG OMG! I went to check my mail a little while ago and discovered that I had a totally unexpected package from acatnamedeaster! There was much flailing... and that was before I even opened it. ;P She sent me some of the yummy Snack stuff she's done lately, including this one, which kills me dead every time I look at it, guuuuuh. ::dies::

Squee-Making Thing #1:

A while back, I commissioned tripperfunster to do some art for me. I asked for young Severus/Sirius, romantic rather than hate sex-y, and pretty much told her to go wild. The end result is HERE!

I already received the original piece in the mail and squeed loudly at Tripper, but now that she's posted the pic to her LJ, I can tell everyone else to go look and squee as well. :D This piece is just abjoluyarf AMAZING. Both Sirius and Snape are wonderful, and their expressions just say so much about the dynamic between these two as I see it. So much characterization there. I won't say any more to spoil it. Just...

I've been waiting for a package from acatnamedeaster for ages, and I FINALLY GOT IT! \o/

OMG, so much awesome art! Do you all remember Love Potion #9, the incredibly tasty (very NWS!) Sirius/Severus/Remus piece upon which I based one of my daily_deviant fics last month? She sent it to me!! ::runs around in little circles clutching art::

She sent a few other things along with it as well, and it's all just fantastic. As fab as her art is online, it's simply AMAZING up close and personal. And I has it!! :D :D


Am buying frames ASAP...
